Mike Holloway home on the hill was spectacular and the views were amazing! This was our first parade of homes and we thoroughly enjoyed everything but the heat. Wonderful location and beautiful homes.

This year was a huge disappointment. The Parade of Homes used to be the place to go to see the “latest and greatest” designs, this year the first couple of homes were like walking through pulte or centex model homes and even the most expensive homes were nothing different than what we already live in or have neighbors living in. Even those who can purchase homes for $1.2 were not impressed with these. The homes are on top of each other and the lack of privacy in the backyards/pools was horrible. Interiors do not feel complete with the traditional features that we are used to in the hill country. These just lacked any kind of “wow” factor.

We were not impressed by this years Parade of Homes as we usually are. We have been coming to San Antonio Parade of Homes for at least 15 years now and this year was a dissapointment. In some of the homes, certain rooms seemed to be unifinished this year as though they ran out of time, and the overall layout of the Parade of Homes this year was a mess, having to catch seperate busses to get to see all the homes.

We have attended 6 of the last 7 parade of homes and this was by far the worst. First of all, my wife is handicapped and we have a handicapped parking tag. We parked almost at the access road as the officers would not allow us to go against traffic and take a closer place. This was very disappointing. Then we got to the homes and there was not 1 home that was appealing to us. We usually find something that we like at the homes but none of the insides of the homes matched the outside architecture. Hope next year is better if we decide to go. But please note I am very surprised and disappointed that the SA Realtor Assoc did not have spaces for handicapped.

Cresta Bella is a beautiful community with stunning views but some of these Parade homes were a disservice to the concept. The homes are stacked on top of each other so everyone is looking down on each other’s amazing pools or even into rooms of their neighbors house.

The Stadler home was the only one that seemed like they thought about someone actually living in it instead of trying to win a random design category.

Is the Parade of Homes closed today because of the rain? Where is there a number to call?

The Mattern & Fitzgerald home was amazing! Cresta Bella is such a beautiful place. I am glad we got to see the Parade of Homes before finalizing our next move.

I did not receive my receipt and can’t seem to get a hold of no one. How do I acquire the reciept? I also can’t seem to find the location where the shuttle shall be.

Please advise,
Monica

Visited the Parade today. Thought the division of homes between three editions of Cresta Bella was a different and somewhat welcome approach, especially with an entry in a smaller home category.

One point of confusion: Parking is NOT at Oak Hills Church, as still stated on your web site as of 7:50 pm on Sunday, Sep 5th. Your representative at ticket sales was certain that this information was corrected on your web site, but acknowledged that the article in Sunday’s Express-News may have still had outdated information. I suggest that you communicate to Home Depot locations, Express-News, and the local news outlets that your parking location is not at Oak Hills Church, to minimize frustration among future Parade attendees.

Nevertheless, we did enjoy the Parade (especially our favorite houses by Mike Holloway and Mattern & Fitzgerald) and the wonderful views of Cresta Bella!

Tim, take the Camp Bullis Rd exit on IH-10 (between The Rim & The Dominion). Catch shuttle at Oak Hills Church.
