Alamo Heights is located a few miles north of Downtown in the sought-after ’09 zip code and it is one of the most established neighborhoods in San Antonio. Many of San Antonio’s wealthiest families (i.e. “Old Money”) live in Alamo Heights or the surrounding neighborhoods of Olmos Park and Terrell Hills.
Much of the charm of Alamo Heights comes from its variety of homes. You can find anything from small, renovated cottages to large estates to upscale townhomes to luxury condominiums.
Whereas many of the newer neighborhoods in San Antonio are inundated with chain restaurants and big box stores, Alamo Heights contains many of the best cafes, restaurants, and boutiques.
