Alamo Ranch is being called “the next Stone Oak.” It’s a large, masterplanned community on the Northwest side near Loop 1604 & Culebra. Builders include Pulte and D.R. Horton. The homes are significantly cheaper than their Stone Oak peers and this side of town is not as developed, but retail and infrastructure is building out rapidly. Traffic has been cited as a problem, but there’s no shortage of that in Stone Oak either.

Somebody is smoking crack if they think Alamo Ranch will be the next Stone Oak. Stone Oak might have the second worst traffic in San Antonio because Alamo Ranch has the worst. People actually want to go to Stone Oak, though. There’s nothing to do in Alamo Ranch. It’s in the middle of nowhere.
